(VOVworld) – On Tuesday, the Vietnamese embassy in the US held a workshop in Washington to boost cooperation between Vietnamese and US businesses in energy development.

Ambassador Pham Quang Vinh, said that this was an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises and US trade supporting agencies and enterprises to meet and expand cooperation in energy. Over the past 20 years, many American energy groups and companies such as Exxon Mobil, Murphy Oil and General Electric have operating successfully in Vietnam. The two governments have maintained close cooperation on issues related to sustainable energy and the environment. Representatives from the US Departments of State, Energy and the US Trade and Development Agency spoke highly of the cooperative potential with Vietnam, saying that working together in the energy sector was one of the US’s top priorities in promoting ties with Vietnam.
