Brigade 167 honored with third-class Fatherland Protection Order
(VOVWORLD) - Brigade 167 under the Naval Region 2 received the Fatherland Protection Order, 3rd class, at a ceremony to mark its 10th founding anniversary.

The artillery-missile Brigade 167 was established in 2013 to in order to meet the requirements of protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands in the current context.
Over the past ten years, the brigade has mastered weapons and equipment and performed their patrol and training tasks in the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, DK1 platforms, and the Southern continental shelf with excellence.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Pham Tien Dung, Brigadier of Brigade 167, said: “10 years mark a step forward of a combat unit. We will continue to develop Brigade 167 into a modern and elite unit. We will strengthen our combat capacity to manage the sea and provide prompt consultation to the Party Committees and the Command to fulfill our assigned tasks.”
