Exhibition on historical, legal evidence of Vietnam’s sovereignty over Paracel, Spratly archipelagos
(VOVworld) – An exhibition of maps and documents about Paracel and Spratly archipelagos belonging to Vietnam opened in Hanoi on Wednesday.

It was held by the Ministry of Information and Communication and the Guard Force Command. Items are arranged in 10 topics: a Chinese-transcribed Vietnamese version, Vietnamese and French documents issued by the Vietnamese feudal court and the French administration in Indochina from the 17th century to 20th century, administrative documents issued by the Vietnamese Republican administration in the south from 1954 to 1975, and a collection of maps proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over Paracel and Spratly islands published both in Vietnam and the West from the 17th century until now.
The exhibition was held in 47 provinces and cities, 10 island districts, and 10 units of the armed forces.
