(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese people living abroad are holding various year-end activities to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the New Lunar Year 2025.
More than 400 delegates representing the Vietnamese community in Vientiane, in NongKhai (Thailand), representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy, and Vietnamese businesses in Laos attended a year-end gathering on Sunday evening.
People came together to celebrate and hope for a fresh start in the new year. The theme of this year's event was "Spring of the Homeland, Sharing Love," which is an annual occasion organized by the Vietnamese Association in Vientiane in order to preserve the cultural traditions of the Vietnamese people and bring the atmosphere of the traditional Lunar New Year to those living and working in Laos.
On the same day, more than 200 overseas Vietnamese in the UK attended the Spring 2025 gathering organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK in London. This was an opportunity for the Vietnamese community to recall the beautiful customs and traditions of the Lunar New Year and enjoy a variety of traditional dishes.
The event also featured a lively performance by Vietnamese students in the UK, bringing a joyful and festive atmosphere to the Vietnamese expatriates.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba recently held the "Spring of the Homeland 2025" program to celebrate the arrival of the New Year and honor the solidarity and unity of the Vietnamese community in Cuba. Nearly 200 guests attended the event, including Vietnamese families, students, and professionals living and working in Cuba.
