Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea in Ca Mau named Special National Relic
(VOVWORLD) - The People's Committee of Ca Mau Province on Thursday received a certificate recognizing the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea for the Vam Lung wharf in Ngoc Hien District as a special national relic, the first relic of its kind in Ca Mau.

The Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea is a military transport route on the East Sea secretly used by the Vietnam People's Navy and the Liberation Army of South Vietnam to transport weapons and personnel from the North to the South during the resistance war.
From 1962 to 1972, the wharves in Ca Mau province received 76 ships, of which Vam Lung wharf alone received 68 carrying more than 4.3 thousand tons of weapons and military supplies serving the Southern battlefield.
On November 10, 2010, Vam Lung wharf was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism as a national historical and cultural relic.
