(VOVworld) - Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong has explored the fishing industry infrastructure in Binh Thuan province’s Phu Quy island district.

During his visit to the island’s Tam Thanh commune on Thursday, the Party leader talked with local people on their processing and sale of sea products and fresh water supply. He shared with them difficulties in geographical distance from mainland and adverse weather condition.
He urged local fishermen to organize the fishing fleet towards better processing and distribution: “Offshore fishing is our traditional industry. We must combine it with on the spot farming, national defense and social security. More resources should be mobilized to ensure local defense capacity, climate change resilience and natural calamity preparedness.”
