(VOVworld) – A workshop opened in Dien Bien province on Thursday to highlight the importance of the Dien Bien Phu victory and Vietnam’s power in the Ho Chi Minh era.

This is one of activities to mark the 60^th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7^th. The Ministry of Defense and Dien Bien province organized the workshop to evaluate the stature, causes, meaning of the victory, and lessons drawn from the campaign. Colonel Tran Ngoc Long, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Military Academy, said: “The conference recalls the most important lessons from the past. The conference also conveys a message of peace, friendship, and cooperation.”
