Hanoi Culinary and Tourism Festival 2021

(VOVWORLD) - The Hanoi Tourism and Culinary Festival 2021 will open in Hanoi this weekend as part of the city’s efforts to stimulate domestic tourism under the government program called “Vietnamese people travel Vietnam”.

The festival will showcase cultural and tourism products in more than 200 booths. 150 booths around Hoan Kiem Lake display tourism promotion packages offered by 12 cities and provinces and Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, and Vietravel Airlines. Vietnam Airlines also offers experiences of trying out being a steward serving food on their aircrafts.

Nguyen Van Thinh, Director of the Northern Branch of Vietnam Airlines said: "We are offering 200,000 air tickets at low prices, at only 99,000 VND or about 4 USD excluding taxes and fees. This is a special promotion applied on all routes of the Vietnam Airlines Group. These air tickets are offered to both individual and group customers."

At the Children’s Palace, the cuisine corner introduces Hanoi specialties with cooks displaying various methods and sharing the culinary arts of Hanoi.

To mark the occasion, the Hanoi Tourism Department will announce a list of cultural, sports and tourism events to be held this year and hundreds of tours of Hanoi and neighboring localities with big discounts of 15% to 35% and many promotional programs. A number of cooperative deals on tourism are expected to be signed at the festival.

Director of the Hanoi Tourism Department Dang Huong Giang said: "We have undergone difficulties due to COVID-19. Now the tourism sector needs to make breakthroughs and strengthen cooperation between businesses to create attractive tourism products to lure more visitors."

The Hanoi Department of Tourism and the Hanoi Center for Tourism, Trade, and Investment Promotion will organize field-trips for delegates, businesses, travel companies, and journalists attending the festival.
