Modernized customs procedures boost Thanh Hoa’s import-export efficiency
(VOVWORLD) - The Sub-Department of Customs Region 10, responsible for Thanh Hoa and Son La province, has accelerated administrative reforms and adopted modern technologies to create maximum convenience for businesses. These efforts have helped increase state budget revenue and drive Thanh Hoa’s socio-economic growth.

Thanh Hoa Port Customs currently oversees the import-export operations of 240 enterprises. With the motto “business satisfaction is the measure of effectiveness,” it has advanced procedural reforms and implemented an automated clearance system to facilitate trade.
According to Nguyen Thi Nga, Head of Thanh Hoa Port Customs, 99% of customs declarations are now processed automatically, operating 24/7 to ensure transparency, accuracy, and significant time savings for businesses.

Nga said: “All customs declarations are now submitted online. We have introduced multiple software solutions to shorten processing times and reduce the need for travel. We are committed to standing by and supporting businesses in the best possible way.”
As a result, Thanh Hoa Port Customs handled over 100,000 declarations in the first eight months of 2025, up 13.4% year-on-year. The value of goods imported and exported was 4.5 billion USD, a 36.8% increase from the same period last year. Le Xuan Cuong is Deputy Head of the Sub-Department of Customs Region 10.
Cuong said: "We have implemented multiple automated customs clearance channels and provided clear procedural guidance to all enterprises, eliminating unnecessary steps and saving time for them."
