Traditional security is aimed at protecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity. In the new situation, security aims to protect the safety and freedom of all citizens.

Human security an important factor in ensuring social-political stability

The 13th National Party Congress underlined human security as something that must be ensured in order to achieve social equality and advancement toward greater happiness and quality of life.

To build an orderly, disciplined, and secure society, national security must coordinated with human security, economic security, and cyber security.

On Sunday Minister of Public Security To Lam told a national virtual conference on learning the resolution of the 13th National Party Congress: “The Party has made humans and human security the center of all its activities. Human security is the goal and the motivation for pursuing socio-political stability and national prosperity and perpetuation. The resolution of the 13th National Party Congress says that security and safety are the people’s primary need. National security means protecting people’s lives.”

The resolution underlines the need for prevention and preparedness in all aspects, the need to be proactive and ready to protect national security in all circumstances, and the need to maintain a fighting spirit while insisting on peace, stability, and sustainability.

The struggle for national security aspires to build and maintain a peaceful society in which all people live happily. Having security, people will feel free to live and work safely and the national economy will grow.

Public security is a precondition for a prosperous people and a strong nation. A nation manifests its power through a strong, sustainable economy, political stability, and public security.
