Vietnamese brands honored at 6th CIIE

(VOVWORLD) - The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is taking place in Shanghai, China. As one of five guest countries of honor, Vietnamese products brought to the exhibition are highly appreciated by visitors and the Organizing Committee.

The exhibition, themed “New Era, Shared Future”, covers 300,000 square meters. Vietnam’s exhibition area which covers more than 400 square meters displays products, materials, and video clips featuring Vietnam’s achievements and potential in economy, trade, and tourism.

There are 34 booths of well-known Vietnamese businesses from the agriculture and processed food sectors, all with solid export capacity and reputable trademarks. The biggest are Vinamilk, TH Truemilk, Quang Ngai sugar, Vinatea, Tan Vuong rice, Luong Quoi coconut, Cuu Long An Giang food, Sa Giang food, and Trung Nguyen coffee.

Trung Nguyen coffee, a famous Vietnamese coffee brand, has participated in 6 previous exhibitions. Ly Thanh Hai, Director of Trung Nguyen’s business development in China, said this is an opportunity to promote the Trung Nguyen coffee brand, seek development opportunities, and gain consumer trust.

“We are marketing Trung Nguyen coffee in China. We opened two big coffee shops in Shanghai in the last two years. We plan to open 1,000 shops in the next 5 years. We will bring our “energy coffee” product, in addition to the currently very popular G7 product, to Chinese consumers,” said Mr. Hai.

Bich Chi company, which produces rice-based products such as noodles, nutritional powder, and snacks, attended the exhibition for the first time.

Nguyen Thi Dieu Hien, manager of Bich Chi’s booth at the exhibition, said: “Our company wishes to expand our export market to China, which is a large market with a big population.”

The China International Import Expo drew 289 of the world's top 500 enterprises. Attending the expo, Vietnamese enterprises have more opportunities to promote their brands to Chinese consumers and seek new partners.
