Prime Minister appeals for fund raising for flood-hit central region
(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has appealed to organizations and individuals to make donations to assist people affected by storms and floods in the central region. “On behalf of the government, I urge organizations and individuals nationwide to share the burden with people in flood areas. I invite donations to help our compatriots in need.”

Torrential rains and heavy floods have claimed the lives of 29 people and damaged more than 120,000 houses and roads mostly in Quang Binh and Ha Tinh. While Vietnam struggles to cope with prolonged rain and flooding, typhoon Sarika is forecast to reach Vietnam’s coastal provinces on Wednesday.
