Hanoi continued to report the highest number of new infections (17,916), followed by Nghe An and Phu Tho provinces.

With more than 8 million cases so far, Vietnam now ranks 14 among 225 countries and territories in terms of infection numbers.

41,949 patients in Vietnam have died, accounting for 0.5% of the total infections. More than 210 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered across the country.
