Cambodian, Lao, Vietnamese flags

(VOVworld) - Vietnamese Planning and Investment Ministry and regional partners have held an investment and trade promotion forum in Vientiane, Laos.
During the event on Thursday, trade officials and business representatives from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand discussed common issues of the ASEAN Economic Community, considering it a breakthrough in regional cooperation.
Chairman of the Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia Economic Cooperation Development Association, Phuong Huu Viet: “The forum aims to promote trade and investment cooperation in the Mekong sub-region within the ASEAN Economic Community. Businesses will identify common issues and make adjustments to fully tap regional potential.”

Vietnam has realized its commitments in ASEAN cooperative framework while promoting the ASEAN community vision after 2015.
