Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the event. In his speech, Chairman of Dong Da district’s People’s Committee Vo Nguyen Phong recalled the great significance of the victory saying it was one of the greatest victories in national struggles against foreign invaders.

A ceremony to mark the victory was also held at the Quang Trung temple in Nghe An province. Local people and visitors offered incense at the temple to pay gratitude to Emperor Quang Trung.

Local people in Tay Son district, Binh Dinh province, which is Emperor Quang Trung’s hometown, organized a ceremony to celebrate the Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da victory on Monday. Vice Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh spoke at the event: “Upholding the strong spirit of the Ngoc Hoi Dong Da victory, we need to seize every opportunity to overcome challenges to develop our province. We also need to join localities nationwide to make national renewal a success and achieve the goal of a rich people, strong country,  democracy, equality, and civilization.”
