(VOVworld) – The 68th International Youth Congress opened on Monday in Hanoi, with the theme “International language: a bridge of friendship, brotherhood and love”.
Beside various seminars and discussions, the participants, including international language students also visited the Temple of Literature, held a camp fire evening in Ba Vi and learnt some Vietnamese. Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Vu Xuan Hong, spoke at the event: "“Esperanto-a bridge of friendship, brotherhood and love” is a very humanist and young theme. I hope that this chance for international language students around the world to meet and learn from each other, and use Esperanto as a tool to promote solidarity and friendship between nations".
This is the 2nd time Vietnam has hosted the International Youth Congress.
