US is largest importer of Vietnam’s agro-forestry-fishery products in H1
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s agricultural product export turnover totaled nearly 34 billion USD in the first half of this year, with the United States emerging as the largest importer, accounting for more than 21% of the total market share, followed by China and Japan.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Vietnam’s agro-forestry-fishery exports to the US increased 16%, while to China fell 0.7% and to Japan surged by 25.5%.

Tran Gia Long is the Ministry’s Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Finance.
He said: “In July and throughout the remainder of the year, we will implement a coordinated and effective approach to Conclusions and Resolutions of the Party Central Committee as well as our strategies and programs. Specifically, we aim to fulfill the Ministry’s plan to raise annual export to 65 billion USD.”
