(VOVWORLD) -The 76th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Students and the Vietnam National Union of Students was celebrated on Sunday in Hanoi, where students were appealed to uphold the glorious tradition and undertake new tasks of the nation.

Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Youth Union and President of the Vietnam National Union of Students, called on students to continue to affirm their core role, responsibility, and willpower in undertaking new tasks of the country.
“In his article ‘The Future for a Rising Generation’ Party General Secretary To Lam conveyed the Party and State's profound trust in the younger generation, including students. He wrote ‘Vietnam needs a young generation that is not only intellectually outstanding but also physically superior, rich in cultural identity, capable of competing and standing shoulder to shoulder with the world's leading nations, and affirming the country's position on the international stage'", Triet said.
He called upon every student to continuously cultivate willpower, nurture aspirations, proactively study, be creative, actively conduct scientific research, and conquer new heights of knowledge.
At the program, the organizers honored students with the titles "3 Goods", "3 Comprehensiveness", and "January Star" Award for the 2024-2025 academic year.
