Afghan President Hamid Karzai told reporters Monday that a decision on immunity for US troops staying in Afghanistan after 2014 will be made in 8-9 moths. Karzai said noted that immunity for US troops is being discussed and it will take about 8-9 months to reach an agreement.  The Afghan government cannot decide this. This is up to the Loya Jirga will decide, he said, referring to the national assembly of tribal elders. Previously, US President Barack Obama said there will be no US soldiers staying in Afghanistan after the NATO withdrawal in 2014, unless they receive legal immunity from the Afghani court.
