Agro-forestry, fisheries record trade surplus in H1

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded a trade surplus in the first half of 2025 with an export turnover from agro-forestry, and fishery products growing 15.5%.

At a press conference in Hanoi on Thursday, Tran Gia Long, Deputy Director of the Planning and Finance Department, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, said: “The export of all commodity groups increased. The export of agricultural products reached 8.5 billion USD, up 17.8%; forestry products 8.82 billion USD, up 9.3%; and fishery products 5.16 billion USD, up 16.9%; and livestock products up 10%. The trade surplus reached 9.83 billion USD, up 16.3%. Trade surplus has been maintained over the past six months.”

Vietnam’s agriculture and environment sector aims to earn an export value of 65 billion USD this year.
