(VOVWORLD) - The agro-forestry-fishery sector earned an export surplus of 6 billion USD in the year’s first 8 months, 660 million USD higher than last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Vietnam’s exports totaled 26.6 billion USD, up 1.6% from last year. Vietnam’s imports in August fell nearly 2.5 billion USD.
Best performers in the period were coffee, rubber, rice, fruit, shrimp, tra fish, and wood and wood products.
