Art exchange held in Truong Sa ahead of New Lunar Year

(VOVworld) – An exchange to welcome the approaching Lunar New Year festival was organized in Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province on Friday. People and soldiers stationed on the islands and a delegation of the Navy Zone 4, the Brigade 146, attended the event.

The program featured songs about the homeland, President Ho Chi Minh, and Vietnamese people’s love to the national sea and islands. Vu Van Luc, who has composed many songs about Truong Sa, shares his feeling: “I’m glad to be in Truong Sa to visit soldiers and islanders and have a chance to sing my songs in praise of Truong Sa. I feel proud and more responsible for the homeland. My songs are the message of gratitude for naval soldiers who are safeguarding the national maritime territory.

Lieutenant-colonel Vu Duy Khanh, Commander of the Son Ca island, says: “All the soldiers on the island feel joyful to join the exchange which is not only a spiritual gift, but also an expression of warmth from people across the country to us. On the occasion of the coming Lunar New Year, we wish everybody a happy Tet festival with more succes.

It is part of a program to deliver gift and Tet greetings to soldiers, military personnel, and civilians on Vietnam’s islands.
