Art programs commemorate President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday

(VOVWORLD) - A special art program was held at the Hanoi Opera House on Sunday to celebrate the 130th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19). 

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan were among the attendees.

The program highlighted the remarkable contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to the national revolutionary cause, and promoted the campaign to study and follow his ideology, morality, and lifestyle.

People’s Artist Trung Duc was emotional. Duc said: “There are no words to express our admiration for the great leader. Watching footage about Uncle Ho on TV, my family and I cried because we love him from the bottom of our hearts. Whenever I record a song about him, I’m moved to tears.”

On Sunday evening, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) hosted a program entitled “Ho Chi Minh is the most beautiful name”, to remember President Ho.

Veteran artist Hong Lien, whose songs about Uncle Ho have won many hearts, said: “At the age of 6, I was honored to sing for Uncle Ho, who commended me and gave me candy. That was an encouragement for me to pursue my singing career. I have worked for VOV Ensemble for nearly 40 years.”

The program featured President Ho Chi Minh as an outstanding and talented leader, who was very close to the people.
