At the dialogue, the participating children made recommendations on child trafficking, violence against children, child protection amidst internet development, and the impacts of climate change on children. Participants also discussed practical solutions to preventing children from violence.

Dang Hoa Nam, Director of the Department of Child Protection and Care, said these recommendations will be gathered to draft a joint declaration soon.

Nam noted that “all recommendations of children will be sent to the Prime Minister, ministries, and agencies. Legitimate and viable proposals will be implemented immediately. In the next forum, ministries and agencies will inform representatives of children what they have and haven’t done so far to live up to the children’s expectations.”

As part of the 4-day forum, a cultural exchange was held later the same day to strengthen solidarity and understanding among ASEAN members.
