ASEAN discusses tourism cooperation with Russia, India in Quang Ninh
(VOVWORLD) - The 9th ASEAN- Russia tourism meeting, which was one of major activities of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (AFT) 2019, was held on Tuesday in Quang Ninh.

Addressing the event, delegates discussed the tourism potential between ASEAN and Russia, and reviewed cooperation between the two sides. Russia praised ASEAN countries for their varied destinations and being a safe place for Russian tourists, but adding that the bilateral tourism cooperation didn’t reach its full potential. Russia asked for enhancing more training courses teaching Russian, and some security measures to protect tourists through information and communication technology.
The 21st ASEAN-India tourism meeting also took place the same day. ASEAN members share their experiences on developing responsible and sustainable tourism, and discuss the implementation of the tourism cooperation MOU, and activities on ASEAN – India tourism cooperation year 2019.
