(VOVworld) – Nearly 100 representatives of Thai and Japanese businesses attended an investment promotion workshop entitled “Attractive Vietnam” held on Wednesday in Bangkok, Thailand.

Tran Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong province’s People’s Committee, introduced Vietnam’s land and people, and the potentials of Vietnam and Binh Duong province. Liem said Vietnam has a strong commitment to improving the investment environment, considering foreign direct investment a decisive factor to restructure the economy and increase national competitiveness. Mr. Liem called on foreign enterprises, including Thai and Japanese ones, to invest more in Vietnam and Binh Duong province. Binh Duong now focuses on planning and developing the socio-economic infrastructure and transportation, industrial parks, urban areas, technology, and connection between centers and key economic zones. The province is calling for investors with high added values, technology, labor saving, and environmental protection measures.
