Boao Forum for Asia annual conference discusses major global issues

(VOVWORLD) -The Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2024, which opened on Thursday in China's Hainan, is themed "Asia and the World: Common Challenges, Shared Responsibilities."

The conference calls on countries around the world to jointly respond to global challenges and shoulder responsibility for promoting peace and prosperity.
During the four-day event, there will be more than 40 discussions on dozens of topics such as world economic prospects, business innovation, and low-carbon energy transition. BFA focuses on emerging issues such as AI development, new energy vehicles or the rise of the global south.
This year's conference pays special attention to the process of regional economic integration and economic growth in Asia, with multiple sub-forums on deepening financial cooperation, building the Asian growth hub and investing in Asia's future.
During the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference, there are thematic forums such as the “Global Health Forum”, the “International Science, Technology and Innovation Forum”, and the “Global Economic Development and Security Forum”.
