Brazil pledges to be a gateway for Vietnam to penetrate into MERCOSUR
(VOVWORLD) - “Under the leadership of the Party, Vietnam has become a stable country with remarkable economic growth. Brazil pledges to serve as a gateway for Vietnam to access the MERCOSUR market,” said Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva at a press conference in Hanoi on Saturday.

President Lula da Silva, on his second visit to Vietnam, expressed his admiration for Vietnam's transformation and emphasized the strong bilateral relationship between the two nations. He reiterated Brazil’s commitment to facilitating Vietnam’s integration into the MERCOSUR trade bloc. Furthermore, he said Brazil has officially recognized Vietnam as a market economy.
The Brazilian president also extended invitations to Vietnam’s senior leaders to attend the BRICS Summit in Brazil this July and the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 30), set to take place later this year in Brazil.
