Vietnam, Brazil celebrate ties with expanded cooperation agenda
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Party and State highly value Brazil as a key partner in Vietnam’s overall foreign policy towards Latin America, Party General Secretary To Lam said at Friday’s reception for Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who is on a state visit to Vietnam until Saturday.

Mr. Lam stressed Vietnam’s commitment to further deepening the newly established Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
He outlined Vietnam’s vision and development direction, emphasizing the potential for cooperation between the two countries in economics, trade, agriculture, energy, and defense, as well as the importance of strengthening exchanges and collaboration in education, culture, and sports.
President Lula da Silva affirmed that Vietnam is a close friend and an important partner for Brazil in Asia. He underlined the need for both countries to expand cooperation for the goal of 15 billion USD in trade in the near future.
