Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the adjustment of troop deployments through mutual understanding is necessary to prevent serious clashes.
He asked the public to trust that the government is working to resolve this through peaceful means, which is the only way to avoid violence and maintain good relations with neighboring countries.
