(VOVworld)- Military Zone 7 officials and soldiers and Cambodian alumni that formerly studied in Vietnam gathered for a re-union in HCM City on Monday. Deputy Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh and Cambodian Defense Secretary General Man Som Phon attended the meeting. Deputy Defense Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh says: “Following the motto “good neighborliness, traditional friendship and comprehensive and long standing cooperation”, we believe that the Vietnamese People’s Army and the armed forces of Military Zone 7 will strengthen cooperation agreements signed by the two countries’ Defense Ministries, the Military Zone 7 and the Cambodian Royal Army. I hope and I believe that Cambodian military alumni and officials of the Cambodian Youth Union will continue working to strengthen bilateral friendship and solidarity”.

Earlier, the Cambodian delegation visited the Military Zone 7 Museum and they are scheduled to visit the Cambodian martyrs’ cemetery in the southern provinces of Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
