Canadian Governor General meets with Hanoi students
Visiting Governor General of Canada David Johnston on Thursday visited Hanoi's University of Social Sciences and Humanity. Meeting with the students there, he said Canada has close and flourishing relationship with Vietnam. Currently, there are about 250,000 Vietnamese residents in Canada, who have been making contributions to local society. During his visit, the Governor General is accompanied by 2 excellent Canadian students of Vietnamese origin. Earlier in the day, David Johnston laid a wreath at Vietnam's Monument of Martyrs and visited the Temple of Literature. He is scheduled to pay visits to Ho Chi Minh city, Can Tho, Tra Vinh and Soc Trang provinces.
