China, Japan deliver messages on bilateral relations

(VOVWORLD) -Japan and China on Saturday delivered messages outlining each side’s position on their bilateral relationship. Speaking to reporters at the Prime Minister Office on Friday, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said Japan’s policy of seeking a mutually beneficial relationship based on common strategic interests and constructive and stable relations with China remains entirely unchanged.

According to NHK, when asked what situations would be considered a “survival-threatening situation” to Japan, Takaichi explained that whether any situation constitutes a survival-threatening situation will be determined comprehensively by the government, in light of the specific circumstances of the situation that actually arises.

According to Xinhua news agency, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning underscored that Tokyo must abide by the four political documents adopted by the two countries.
