Vietnam attends ASEAN-US Maritime Exercise
(VOVWORLD) - Ship 09 of Brigade 171 and a working delegation of the Vietnam People's Navy on Thursday left for the 2nd ASEAN-US Maritime Exercise (AUMX-2) in Indonesia.

The exercise will take place from December 9-13 on Batam Island, Indonesia. Ship 09 and the Vietnamese delegation will join various activities, including the opening ceremony, a scenario-based workshop, an expert workshop, and sports and cultural exchanges. Ship 09 and participating forces will carry out operations such as air photography, medical evacuation, search and rescue, replenishment at sea, night formation, and maritime greetings.
This year’s exercise aims to further enhance coordination in addressing common maritime security challenges, while strengthening mutual understanding and trust among regional navies, contributing to peace and stability in the region and the world.
