China pushes for political settlement of Russia-Ukraine conflict, Denmark plans aid to Kyiv

(VOVWORLD) -China will continue to promote peace talks to work for a political settlement of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a regular news conference on Monday, as Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui wrapped up a two-week trip in Europe.

Ms. Mao said all the countries Li visited expressed their hope that China will continue to push dialogues and exchanges with all parties to reach a consensus on the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

On Monday, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said Denmark plans to increase its spending on military aid to Ukraine by 2.59 billion USD over this year and next.

The announcement was made prior to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
