Christian Fellowship Church of Vietnam convenes 3rd Congress

(VOVworld) – The Christian Fellowship Church of Vietnam in the last tenure actively joined followers of other religions and all Vietnamese people in production, poverty reduction, the new cultural family building program, and gratitude movements. The statement was made by Bui Thanh Ha, Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, in his address to open the 3rd Congress of the Christian Fellowship Church of Vietnam on Wednesday in Ho Chi Minh city, attended by 700 priests, followers, and guests. Ha added that the Party and Government had made specific legal documents for believers and dignitaries to practice their rights to freedom of religion while participating in the national renewal process and promoting the greater unity.

Since being recognized in 2009, the Christian Fellowship Church of Vietnam has developed, with 55 affiliates and 180,000 followers. In the next tenure, the Church will open centers for spiritual communication and theology classes, ordain priests, build churches, and promote charitable activities.
