Countries commemorate 80th anniversary of the Victory Day over Fascism

(VOVWORLD) -A patriotic art festival was held at the Russian Army Theater in Moscow on Tuesday to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory Day over Fascism.

The Russian helicopter group Rostec organized an aerial event called the "Immortal Regiment" featuring helicopters carrying portraits of pilots who participated in the Great Patriotic War.

To commemorate Victory Day, the National Bank of Kazakhstan has issued coins with face values of 200 and 1,000 tenge. The 1,000-tenge coins, with a limited mintage of 2,000 pieces, are made of sterling silver with gold plating. 10 million 200-tenge coins are intended for general circulation.

Panama inaugurated monument dedicated to Soviet submarine sailors, commemorating the passage of Soviet submarines through the Panama Canal during the Great Patriotic War. A memorial requiem was held to honor the fallen soldiers.

A ceremony was held Tuesday in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, to present the Eternal Flame. Russian Hero Dmitry Petelin brought a lantern carrying a portion of the Eternal Flame from Moscow to Bishkek, where it was handed over to local veteran organizations and volunteers. The flame was then paraded through the capital by the Immortal Regiment march. It will continue its journey to other cities across Kyrgyzstan in the coming days.
