Countries enhance measures to cope with Ebola

(VOVworld) - While the Ebola epidemic has been spreading rapidly killing more than 4,000 people, many countries have strengthened medical measures to prevent its spreading. New York's JFK airport has started screening to check passengers’ health, especially those from West African countries. Checks at O'Hare in Chicago, Newark, Washington's Dulles and Atlanta's airport will begin in the coming days.

Latin American countries such as Peru and Uruguay have implemented quick medical checks at airports. The UK has installed screening equipment at Heathrow and Gatwick airports and platforms along the Eurostar high-speed train from Belgium and France.

Russian Ministry of Health said it has made 3 types of Ebola vaccines and is preparing for mass production in the next 6 months.
