COVID-19: Vietnam reports no new cases February 20 morning, youngest patient recovers

(VOVWORLD) - No new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Vietnam on Saturday morning. The country has confirmed 2,362 cases, of which 1,627 have been given the all-clear, and 35 have died.

Since the latest COVID-19 wave hit Vietnam on January 27, the novel coronavirus has been detected in 13 localities: Hai Duong (590), Quang Ninh (60), Ho Chi Minh City (36), Hanoi (35), Gia Lai (27), Binh Duong (6), Bac Ninh (5), Dien Bien (3), Hung Yen (2), Hoa Binh (2), Bac Giang (2), Hai Phong (1), and Ha Giang (1).

On Friday, nine COVID-19 patients at Field Hospital No.2 in Hai Duong province were declared free of the virus, including an infant patient, the youngest in Vietnam to have contracted coronavirus.

The baby is among the first child patients to be released from Hai Duong Field Hospital No.2, which has been providing treatment for 42 COVID-19 child patients.
