Cuban top legislator wishes to continue experience exchange with Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -Cuban National Assembly President Esteban Lazo Hernandez on Wednesday expressed his wish to continue exchanging with Vietnam experiences and lessons learned in Vietnam’s renewal process and the implementation of strategic development policies.

The Cuban top legislator met with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi as part of his official visit to Vietnam and co-chairing the 2nd session of the Vietnam-Cuba Inter-Parliamentary Committee.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Chinh said the Vietnamese Government will continue its support for Cuba in a practical and specific manner. He stressed business model-based agricultural projects to support food security in Cuba, as well as other important areas of energy and biotechnology.

The two leaders agreed on coordination to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year on December 2, 2025.

They stressed the need to facilitate and encourage the expanded participation of organizations and enterprises of the two countries in the socio-economic development process of each country, as well as promote economics, trade and investment cooperation, especially in strategic areas agreed upon by the two countries' senior leaders.
