(VOVworld) – Vietnamese literature’s well-known ‘Dang Thuy Tram’s Diary’ has been published in Russian. The diary was translated by Dr Le Van Nhan and Dr. Anatoly Sokolov of the Oriental Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

At the launch ceremony, Russian Counselor in Vietnam, Gennady Antonov said: "Being here today, I have a mixed feeling, one the one hand, I feel deeply sad as we know the book is about the difficult war time Vietnam experienced. I watched the film “Don’t burn”, which is based on this book, twice. We should always treasure what those people did for Vietnam. I really appreciate the effort of the translators who translated this book into Russian. I hope there will be more Vietnamese books translated into Russian so we can learn more about Vietnamese culture".
