Defense Ministry announces no-fly, restricted zones for unmanned aircraft

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense on Sunday announced designated no-fly and restricted zones for unmanned aircraft and other aerial vehicles within the country’s airspace.

Detailed information is available on the ministry’s portal at http://cambay.mod.gov.vn. The newly designated zones do not apply to aerial vehicles used for official government purposes.

According to the 2024 Law on People’s Air Defense, unmanned aircraft are defined as flying vehicles operated without an onboard pilot. The regulations also apply to other aerial vehicles, including balloons, flying models, powered parachutes, and kites, excluding traditional folk kites.
