Mr. Dam also requested assistance for the firms currently testing the anti-virus drug Molnupiravir. He said the Ministry of Health must give more support to COVID-19 vaccine research units in getting the NanoCovax vaccine approved.

The Ministry was asked to guide and help firms conducting trials of the anti-viral drug Molnupiravir, create a plan to ensure the availability of treatment drugs if there is another rapid increase in the number of COVID-19 patients, and speed up the clinical trials and evaluation of the COVID-19 drug Vipdevir being developed by the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

Mr. Dam said the Ministry should help enterprises quickly produce rapid antigen testing kits which can detect many strains of SARS-CoV-2 virus.
