(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung is attending the 22nd Asia Future Conference in Tokyo, Japan.

Themed “Rising to global challenges and realizing Asia’s future”, the conference focused on factors affecting the future development of the region, including relations between world powers, the trends in economic connection and trade liberalization, growth prospects for developing and newly-emerged economies, and traditional and non-traditional challenges facing the region.  

Deputy Prime Minister Dung said in order to overcome the challenges to peace, prosperity and sustainable development, Asian countries need to maintain peace, security, respect territorial sovereignty for the benefit of each country, and resolve conflicts in a peaceful manner based on the international law. Mr. Dung confirmed the Vietnamese government’s determination to take drastic measures to develop Vietnam’s economy and soon turn Vietnam into a modern industrial country.

The day, Mr. Trinh Dinh Dung also met with Motoo Hayashi, Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and the President of Route Inn group, Katsutoshi Nagayama.
