(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue met with Can Tho city authorities on Sunday to discuss the city’s socio-economic situation.

The Deputy Prime Minister praised Can Tho’s stable socio-economic development in the first two months of this year, adding that Can Tho’s trade and services are the bright spot of the Mekong Delta region. Mr. Hue urged Can Tho to invest more in the agriculture sector in order to increase export turnover and work with the Ministry of Transport and the airlines to make Can Tho International Airport the main airport of the region. Can Tho will soon hold an international conference to mobilize investment.
