At a joint news conference in Paris, French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault and German Foreign Minster Sigmar Gabriel expressed concern over the new immigration restrictions.

On Saturday, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani voiced his opposition against the order, saying that it is not the time of wall-raising between nations. He said Iran has opened its door to foreigners since its nuclear deal with world powers was adopted in 2015.

Jiri Ovcacek, spokesman for Czech President Milos Zeman, twitted on Saturday that he advocates Trump’s decision, adding that the President merely wants to protect national security and his citizens.

Trump signed an executive order on Friday, suspending entry of all refugees to the US for 120 days and temporarily banning travellers from seven Muslim-dominated Middle Eastern countries: Syria, Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Libya, Sudan, and Yemen. Trump reasoned that the moves will help protect Americans from "terrorist" attacks.
