Draft working report for 13th NA tenure discussed

(VOVworld) – National Assembly deputies discussed a draft working report for its 13th tenure in Hanoi on Monday, where they praised the sense of responsibility in performing their duties of law-making and oversight, deciding key national issues, and conducting votes of confidence.

The lawmakers also contributed opinions on oversight activities and the quality of legislation and lawmakers. During its 13th tenure, the National Assembly adopted the 2013 Constitution and promulgated 100 laws and codes.

Nguyen Van Tuyet, a deputy for Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, urged the NA to increase the number of full-time lawmakers in the coming term.

“More full-time deputies will ensure implementation of the NA’s tasks and rights. Full-time deputies will become the core force of the legislative body, its agencies, and NA delegations,” Tuyet noted.
