(VOVWORLD) - European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said Wednesday that US efforts to split the European Union on trade will fail.

The EU and its single market are indivisible, he said, when asked about Trump's bid for bilateral deals, adding that all efforts to divide the Europeans are in vain. Mr. Juncker will visit the White House next Wednesday to talk President Trump into erasing US tariffs on European steel and give up additional tariffs on European automobiles.
