Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi called on all political factions to join a dialog on December 8, in order to find a solution “to save the country”, discuss whether to keep the Shura Council ( Senate), and suggest the next move after the referendum. Morsi announced that the referendum will still occur on December 15 as planned. The “April 6” Movement, a group which participated in the protests of the last two weeks-objected to the President’s announcement and today called for a new protest dubbed “Red Card”. Meanwhile, thousands of people are gathering in front of the Presidential Palace, holding shoes to protest the President, and shouting slogans. The National Safety Front (NSF) condemned the militia of the Muslim Brotherhood for attacking protesters and insisted that President Morsi has lost his legitimacy.
