(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired a meeting on Wednesday to assess the Program on Environmental Industry Development for the 2030 period, with vision to 2050.
He requested the program set clear, specific targets and a detailed roadmap, aiming to make the environmental industry a key economic sector to effectively address pollution and contribute to economic growth.
He also urged a review of current legal frameworks and policy to facilitate investment attraction, technology transfer, and human resource development.
At the meeting, leaders from ministries and sectors highlighted the program's goals, technical standards and regulations, market development, and data infrastructure. Many proposed the necessity of incentive mechanisms such as green credit, tax, and investment to boost innovation ecosystems within the environmental industry.
